The rule finalization may take a few months due to the speedy sloth-like movements of our federal betters. In the meantime, we can ship non-transfer handgun shipments via UPS Next Day Air, which will average $350 per handgun, give or take $100 depending on weight, dimensions, and distance from Alaska.

SUMMARY:
The Postal Service is proposing to amend Publication 52, Hazardous, Restricted, and Perishable Mail (Publication 52), to conform with the opinion of the Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Counsel regarding the constitutionality of Section 1715 of title 18 U.S. Code, which prohibits the mailing of concealable firearms.

Mail or deliver written comments to the Director, Product Classification, U.S. Postal Service, 475 L’Enfant Plaza SW, Room 4446, Washington, DC 20260-5015. If sending comments by email, include the name and address of the commenter and send to PCFederalRegister@usps.gov, with a subject line of “Shipping Firearms.” Faxed comments will not be accepted.
The label is everything. It must be addressed From: Customer C/O an FFL dealer, To: Customer C/O Wolfhawk Shipping. Any deviation will result in the transaction becoming a transfer, which requires proof of Alaska residency for handguns and an additional expensive transfer fee. See the examples below non-transfer privately owned firearms shipping.
